Moving Intelligence makes a strategic investment in Berlin-based PLT Software.
Zaltbommel, The Netherlands, July 13th 2021 – Moving Intelligence, the Dutch market leader for vehicle and equipment security, trip registration and fleet management, takes a big step forward in expanding its business in Europe. The acquisition of Berlin based PLT Software, a GPS and route planning software company for SME fleets, sees the Dutch tech-company expand into Germany.
PLT Software is a German software company that helps companies get control over their logistics activities and get the best out of their fleet of vehicles through their proprietary GPS tracking and route planning software solution, TrackPilot. The company has a strong presence in Germany, with a particular focus on SME customers. The solution is complementary to Moving Intelligence whose focus is on vehicle and equipment security.
Patrick Horst, the CEO of Moving Intelligence commented: “In our ambition to become a European market leader, the acquisition of PLT Software fits our strategy perfectly. With this acquisition we accelerate our growth plans and expand our product range. The software solutions of PLT Software are a good addition to our products and services with which we already serve the Benelux market. The company culture of PLT Software also fits well with ours.”
“The PLT Software product range that they sell in Germany is complementary to the products of Moving Intelligence. Regarding vehicle security, there is a lot of white space in the German market. Certainly in the eastern part of Germany, where PLT Software has most of its customers, vehicle theft is a big problem. We expect this acquisition and the integration of the Moving Intelligence products with the PLT software suite will create a lot of potential synergies.”
The level of support and service of PLT Software will remain the same high quality, a characteristic also Moving Intelligence is known for. Moving Intelligence is eagerly looking forward to this important strategic step as the start of its European expansion plan.
